Yarnboard — Never lose a useful idea again
Yarnboard is a personal knowledge tool for saving thoughts, screenshots, links, and files into one searchable memory you can actually reuse. Everything you save is tagged, full-text searchable, and connected to everything else you have saved on the same subject.
How it works
- 1. Save anything. A screenshot, a quote, a meme, an argument you spent 20 minutes writing. Paste it in.
- 2. Tag it. Add a few tags, or let AI suggest them. No tag, no entry — so nothing gets lost in the void.
- 3. Find it instantly. Search by a few letters, by tag, or by the text inside a screenshot. It is all searchable.
- 4. See the threads. Shared tags string your notes together. Discovery pulls the yarn between ideas you never thought to connect — that is the board this app is named after.
- 5. Reuse it. Click to copy. Paste into a conversation, a document, or a post.
What Yarnboard solves
I have thousands of screenshots and cannot find anything.
Yarnboard runs OCR over your images, so you can search by what a screenshot says rather than what the file was named.
I wrote the perfect response once and now I cannot find it.
Save it, tag it, search it. The next time the topic comes up, one click puts it in your clipboard.
My ideas are in five different apps and none of them talk to each other.
Yarnboard keeps text, images, links, and files in one place, all tagged, all searchable, all connected.
I know these ideas are related but I cannot see how.
Discovery surfaces notes you saved months apart that share rare tags — connections you did not know you had.
I keep rewriting the same prompts and templates from scratch.
Save your best prompts, email templates, and canned responses, then search, click, and paste.
I saved a video somewhere and cannot find it again.
Save the YouTube link as a note and press Summarize. Every major point the video made is written into the note as text you can search and edit, so the video is findable by what it said rather than by its title.
